Can you imagine if the Los Zeta cartel in Mexico began firing rockets into the United States penetrating 28 miles into the interior and targeting the civilian population? How many hours would it be until our military stopped those rockets? In the last year over 8,000 rockets have been fired from Gaza into Israel striking schools, hospitals, homes and marketplaces. Yet where is the media coverage of the attacks by terrorists on Israel? Even when they had a ceasefire...Hamas fired 80 missles in one day.
Apparently, Benjamin Netanyahu gave an interview and was asked about Israel's occupation of Arab lands.
His response was "It's our land". The reporter (CNN or the like) was stunned - read below "It's our land..." It's important information since we don't get fair and accurate reporting from the media and facts tend to get lost in the jumble of daily events.
"Crash Course on the Arab Israeli Conflict."
Here are overlooked facts in the current &n bsp; Middle East situation.
These were compiled by a Christian university professor:
BRIEF FACTS ON THE ISRAELI CONFLICT TODAY.... ( It takes just 1.5 minutes to read!!!! )
It makes sense and it's not slanted. Jew and non-Jew -- it doesn't matter.
1. Nationhood and Jerusalem. Israel became a nation in 1312 BCE, Two thousand years before the rise of Islam.
2. Arab refugees in Israel began identifying themselves as part of a Palestinian people in 1967, two decades after the establishment of the modern State of Israel.
3. Since the Jewish conquest in 1272 BCE, the Jews have had dominion over the land for one thousand years with a continuous presence in the land for the past 3,300 years.
4. The only Arab dominion since the conquest in 635 CE lasted no more than 22 years.
5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital Jerusalem has never been the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Even when the Jordanians occupied Jerusalem, they never sought to make it their capital, and Arab leaders did not come to visit.
6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in Tanach, the Jewish Holy Scriptures. Jerusalem is not mentioned once in the Koran.
7. King David founded the city of Jerusalem. Mohammed never came to Jerusalem.
8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem. Muslims pray with their backs toward Jerusalem.
9. Arab and Jewish Refugees: in 1948 the Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews. Sixty-eight percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier.
10 The Jewish refugees were forced to flee from Arab lands due to Arab brutality, persecution and pogroms.
11. The number of Arab refugees who left Israel in 1948 is estimated to be around 630,000. The number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands were well over 1 million.
12. Arab refugees were INTENTIONALLY not absorbed or integrated into the Arab lands to which they fled, despite the vast Arab territory. Out of the 100,000,000 refugees since World War II, theirs is the only refugee group in the world that has never been absorbed or integrated into their own people's lands. Jewish refugees were completely absorbed into Israel, a country no larger than the state of New Jersey .
13. The Arab-Israeli Conflict: the Arabs are represented by eight separate nations, not including the Palestinians. There is only one Jewish nation. The Arab nations initiated all five wars and lost. Israel defended itself each time and won. The surrounding Arab countires have 600 times the land mass of Israel.
14. The PLO's Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel. Israel has given the Palestinians most of the West Bank land, autonomy under the Palestinian Authority, and has supplied them.
15. Under Jordanian rule, Jewish holy sites were desecrated and the Jews were denied access to places of worship. Under Israeli rule, all Muslim and Christian sites have been preserved and made accessible to people of all faiths.
16. The UN Record on Israel and the Arabs: of the 175 Security Council resolutions passed before 1990, 97 were directed against Israel.
17. Of the 690 General Assembly resolutions voted on before 1990, 429 were directed against Israel.
18. The UN was silent while 58 Jerusalem Synagogues were destroyed by the Jordanians.
19. The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
20. The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like a policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.
ISRAEL IN PROPHECY
It is amazing that anyone that actually studies Last Days Prophesies and events of that age could not understand Israel’s unique place in Biblical Prophecy. Below are some of the major prophesies concerning Israel.
#01 - The nation Israel would be born in one day. (Isaiah 66:8) On May 14, 1948 Israel became a nation again.
#02 - The Jews would begin to re-gather in Israel. (Jeremiah 31:7-10; Ezekiel 37:21-22; 38:8) Over five million and counting!
#03 - The Jews would regain control of biblical Jerusalem. (Zechariah 12:6 ; Luke 21:24) This happened in 1967!
#04 - The Eastern Gate would remain closed until the Messiah returns. At Christ's Second Coming, he will enter Jerusalem through the now sealed Eastern Gate. (Ezekiel 44:1-3) Today, as predicted, the Eastern Gate remains sealed.
#05 - The nation of Israel which had been divided into two kingdoms since the time of Solomon (950 B.C.)- Israel in the north and Judah in the south- would be one united nation in the last days. (Ezekiel 37:15-22) At present, as predicted Israel is one nation.
#06 - The returning Jews would have no king until Jesus returns. (Hosea 3:4-5) Amazingly, not only is Israel no longer a theocracy, but today the Jewish state is governed by a democracy comprised of some 30 political parties.
#07 - During the Diaspora (the dispersion of the Jews to the four corners of the globe), Israel would become a wasteland. (Deuteronomy 29:23-28; Ezekiel 36:8-11; Ezekiel 36:33-36) During the past 1900 years Israel became a nearly uninhibited desolate wasteland.
#08 - Israel, once a desolate desert, would blossom in the last days and export produce to the world. (Isaiah 27:6; 35:1-2; Ezekiel 36:34-36) Israel's increased rainfall and world renowned irrigation technology have caused the land to blossom. Incredibly, as predicted, they currently export 800 million dollars worth of fresh produce each year.
#09 - Israel would once again plant vineyards on the mountains of Israel. (Joel 3:17-18; Amos 9:13) Today, sweet wine flow from the Golan Heights and many other vineyards on the mountains of Israel.
#10 - The last days Jews would plant forests of trees. The Bible even specifies the variety of trees - cedar, acacia, myrtle, oil, cypress, pine, and box. (Isaiah 41: 18-20) This has happened in our day.
#11 - Though Israel would be the focus of many fulfilled prophecies, most Jews would remain blind to the fact that Jesus is their Messiah until the very end. (Luke 19:41-42; Luke 13:34-35; Romans 11:25-26)
#12 - The Hebrew language would be restored. (Zechariah 3:9) Remarkable, but today Hebrew is once again the official language of Israel. Ultimately, when Christ returns to set up his kingdom, all people will share one speech. Not only will one language be restored, as it was before Babel, (Genesis 11:1), but all people will call on the Lord with one accord.
#13 - The Ethiopian Jews would return to Israel. (Zephaniah 3:10) At least 60.000 Ethiopian Jews have returned during the past 20 years.
#14 - The returning Jews would once again use the ancient shekel for commerce. (Ezekiel 45:12; Amos 8:5) Amazingly, the shekel is now Israel's official currency.
#15 - Plans to rebuild the temple in Israel anticipated. (Revelation 11:1-2, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4; Matthew 24:15) Preparations by the Temple Institute are nearly complete.
#16 - A red heifer without blemish must be born and sacrificed to purify the temple in Israel. (Numbers 19:2, 3, 5, 9) A kosher red heifer was born in 2002 and remains without blemish!
#17 - The temple sacrifices would be reinstituted in Israel in the last days. (Daniel 9:27; Daniel 12:11) Daniel foresaw the Antichrist ending the daily sacrifices. Therefore, the Jewish sacrificial system must have first been restored in the last days. Currently, the Temple Institute has created all the temple furniture and vessels. There are also several hundred young Jewish men in training for the Levitical priesthood.
#18 - In the last days, Israel would be surrounded by enemy nations. (Psalm 83:4-8)
#19 - Israel would remain invincible except during the Great Tribulation. (Zechariah 12:6-9) Even during those last three and one half years, when it looks like Israel will be destroyed, the Lord shall deliver Israel from the hands of her enemies. (Jeremiah 30:3-7; Zechariah 14; Mark 13:14-20) Since 1948, Israel has been attacked in three major wars and six lesser wars, yet despite being vastly outnumbered, they have destroyed all attacking foes.
#20 - Israel would be partitioned by other nations. (Joel 3:2; Daniel 11:39) this has been a top priority for the United Nations since Israel's statehood. Currently, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, and Gaza, have been divided up into Jewish and Palestinian settlements.
#21 - The possession of Jerusalem would be at the center of international turmoil. (Zechariah 12:3) Almost daily the world news reports on the conflict over Jerusalem.
#22 - The ancient city of Petra (Sela- the rock city) in Jordan would exist and become the refuge for the fleeing Jews during the Tribulation (Isaiah 16:1-4; Matthew 24:16; Revelation 12:6, 14) In 1994, Jordan and Israel signed a peace treaty making Petra a potentional refuge for fleeing Jews.
#23 - Russia (Magog) would rise a military power and lead a surprise attack on Israel just prior to the final seven years of this age. (Ezekiel 38) Today, most of the southern states of the former Soviet Union are both military powerhouses and Muslim.
#24 - Turkey (Meshech) would also turn on Israel in the same surprise attack. (Ezekiel 38) In November 2002, Turkey elected a pro-Islamic party to govern the country.
#25 - Iran (Persia, Sudan (Cush), and Libya (Put) would also partake in the surprise attack on Israel. (Ezekiel 38) Anti-Semitism in the Muslim world is rampant. According to the Koran and Hadith, all Muslims are commanded to kill Jews, Christians, and non-believers in Jihad (holy war) unless they convert to Islam (Surahs 9:5 and 47:4; Volume 1, book 2, numbers 24 and 35)
#26 - Ironically Egypt and Jordan would not participate in this surprise attack. (Ezekiel 38) Astoundingly, they are the only two Arab nations that have signed a peace treaty with Israel. Jordan signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1994 and Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979.
#27 - Birds of prey would eat the dead flesh of the enemy armies that fall in battle against Israel (Ezekiel 39:4, 17; Revelation 19:17-21) It is a little known fact that Israel is the bird migration capital of the world. In fact, 500 million to 1.5 billion birds fly over Israel each spring. During the fall migration an estimated 1 to 4 billion birds traverse Israel. Many of these migratory birds are raptors- carrion (dead flesh) eating birds of prey. In fact, 34 species raptors migrate over Israel.
The miracle of Israel
Israel wants only one thing. To live. To exist. It is surrounded by 27 Islamic countries with over 600 times the land mass. The accomplishments to the world have been more than any other country on earth, especially in such a short amount of time. A little bit more than the arch..and an abacus. Israel is called on to give up everything....and the Islamic countries around them..and the Palestinians... nothing. They continue to deny Israel even has a right to exist...even though they are the only ones to actually have a country their in the past 3500 years. At the dispersion of Judah in 135 AD, their remained a remnant there. It became a province by whoever at the time took control...the Romans..the Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, Selijh Turks, the Ottoman Turks, and British Rule. After the loss of the of Germany (and their allies, the Ottomans), Palestine was partitioned..the area where Syria is to Islamic occupants.. and South of that to the Jews for Israel. The agreement was broken and a Palestinian State was created...called Trans-Jordon. Again they continued to cut it up and try to move the Jewish people into the sea..the Sinai and Gaza for Egypt, the West bank for Jordon...and the Golan for Syria. Finally it a last fight for survival, they declared their independence in 1948...and were immediately attacked from all sides. But they still won. In the end Arab countries ended up with 85% of the territory that was promised to the Jewish people. Approximately 1.5 million Jews were forced to leave the surrounding Arab countries and were absorbed by the new State of Israel. Almost 500,000 Arabs fled Palestine under the encouragement of the surrounding governments who promised them they would return with the destruction of the new Israel. Most never even saw an Israeli soldier, and most were refused a home in those countries. The wanted the refugees to be political pawns instead of giving their brethren a home. The Jewish people still struggle daily...to survive. Here are just a few of their accomplishments:
Here is a capsule of accomplishments you may not be fully aware of. I thought you might find these statistics interesting.
The Middle East has been growing date palms for centuries. The average tree is about 18-20 feet tall and yields about 38 pounds of dates a year. Israeli trees are now yielding 400 pounds/year and are short enough to be harvested from the ground or a short ladder.
Israel, the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world's population, can lay claim to the following:
The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel. Most of the Windows NT and XP operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel.

Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000, as opposed to 85 in the U. S., over 70 in Japan, and less than 60 in Germany. With over 25% of its work force employed in technical professions.
Israel places first in this category as well. A new acne treatment developed in Israel, the Clear Light device, produces a high-intensity, ultraviolet-light-free, narrow-band blue light that causes acne bacteria to self-destruct -- all without damaging surrounding skin or tissue.
An Israeli company was the first to develop and install a large-scale solar-powered and fully functional electricity generating plant, in southern California's Mojave desert.
All the above while engaged in regular wars with an implacable enemy that seeks its destruction, and an economy continuously under strain by having to spend more per capita on its own protection than any other country on earth.
